Hold On (Don’t Go): Deeply personal. As everyone who has been in a long-term relationship knows, it takes work to maintain it. When I was more immature my reaction when getting into a disagreement with my wife was to walk away. I would feel like we were both set in our minds and could not agree or see each others’ side so what was the point in continuing to talk. This song is a message I wrote to myself as a reminder to just hold on and spend more time listening and discussing to diffuse the situation or at lease salvage it. I do think it has improved my relationship and I believe a lot of men have this gut reaction and could benefit from this advice.

Dirt Road Magic: I work a long hours, difficult job, I am stressed most days. I noticed that when I am coming home from work and drive down the dirt road home the beauty/serenity just relaxes me and pushes my worries aside. This song came from that feeling and morphed into a love letter to living a rural life.

Fall Apart: Another deeply personal song. My wife quit the job she was working a few summers back and her next one wasn’t lined up until the end of summer so she had a couple months off. She took advantage of that time by taking solo road trips around the US. I stayed home and worked (someone had to pay the bills lol) which meant for weeks at a time I would be alone and very lonely. I found things to do of course and got through it, but it was a challenging time and this captures how I felt and how much I missed her.

When I See You: This is a fictional song based on real emotions. The theme is a tough breakup and the feelings you get when you see that ex who was a big part of your life for a long time.

Come On And Dance With Me: This is my dance song, it is about being at a school dance, a wedding, a club, or anywhere dancing happens at a party. It is my version of an inspirational song to encourage people to overcome shyness and fear of rejection and just ask someone to dance with them.

RTW (Rule The World): I know I stole the title but I couldn’t think of anything else to call this! Let me know if you have ideas. This is a classic theme I think about that maybe we all do, getting older and figuring out maybe we aren’t going to achieve all our dreams, maybe we won’t rule the world, maybe we still will though? Anyway, I hope you enjoy my songs.

Keep Away: A fictional and funny tune about recognizing red flags in someone you are approaching romantically and sometimes just making the call to ignore them and see what happens. A song about picking the right person too. The ending is left ambiguous, it could have been a mistake to pick them or not, who knows! Probably not the best advice.
